Year 1 Red Class – Our Senses!25/09/18
In Science, red class have been exploring their five senses; seeing, tasting, hearing, touching and smelling. They had to explore the different objects set out on the five tables, recording which of their senses helped them identify the objects best.
Ella said, “I can hear noise with my ears”, while playing the sound tubes.
“We use our ears to hear”, said Kiril and Charlie while exploring musical instruments.
“I look with my eyes”, said Elle-Mae.
Dillon used his mirror to see objects behind him, “My eyes can see a reflection of my face”.
Children in red class enjoyed exploring objects with their senses, using adjective words to describe them.
Inna and Yunam are using their sense of smell to identify the potted herbs.
Alesha and Freya are also using their sense of smell to identify the potted herbs.
Fatima, Gracie-Mae, Ella and Charlie engaged in exploring their sense of smell. “This one smells like a polo”.
Inna, Louie and Freya enjoying tasting the different fruits and vegetables.
Scarlett said, “My tongue tastes different flavours”.
