South Borough’s Rainbow Harvest

11/10/18

Today, we celebrated ‘Rainbow Harvest’ with a special assembly. Each year group had been assigned a colour and the children were invited to come to school in clothes of their year’s colour, in exchange for bringing in a donation of food or toiletries in that colour.

Nursery and Reception came to school in an assortment of rainbow colours. Year 1 were dressed in red, Year 2 in orange, Year 3 in yellow, Year 4 in green, Year 5 in blue and Year 6 in purple.

The children sang together at the festival and presented work to the other year groups. This ranged from written work, art work, songs and poems. There was lots of exciting learning to share!

Thank you to everyone for your generous donations which will be gratefully received by Homeless Care at the Maidstone Day Centre. Homeless Care runs Maidstone Day Centre to provide comfort, support and the opportunity for a brighter future to people going through tough times.
