On Friday 30th June StarBurst Drama Club performed ‘Neverland’ to parents, carers, family and friends. The children were true professionals, as with only minutes before going on stage two scenes had to be altered, because some children had not arrived for the evening performance. One parent e-mailed Mrs Samways: “I just wanted to say how much we all enjoyed the show on Friday. The thing that struck me most, was the fact that all of the children looked really happy to be on stage performing. What a great experience for them all!”
At the end of the performance a collection was made, under the wishes of J.M Barrie, for Great Ormond Street Hospital. We raised £42.56 for the children’s hospital.
Mrs Samways said, “The children were amazing. I was really touched by being presented with flowers at the end of the performance. Thank you to Mrs Floyd, Mrs Bell Herbert and Mr Marsh for all their help and support.”
