At South Borough Primary School we believe every child matters and they are at the heart of all we do. We aim to ensure they can read, write and calculate effectively when they leave us. Together with that we aim to instil a sense of pride, tolerance, determination and perseverance to help them in all aspects of life. Good behaviour for learning is key for children to make good progress.
The aim of the South Borough Primary School core values is to ensure all children understand what is expected of them, inside and outside of school and to give them a visual reminder of what they can do to make South Borough Primary School a happy, safe and positive place to learn. The core values allow children to develop skills to ‘learn how to learn things they do not yet know’.
Year 1’s first ever Cultural Experience Afternoon was a huge success. A parent said, “The cultural afternoon was lovely. It was fantastic to see, share and experience the multi-culture and diversity that we are so lucky to have within the school."
Science in Year 5 has seen us delve further into the complexities of light - we are looking at reflection and amazing inventions that have been made utilising it.
Today, we celebrated ‘Rainbow Harvest’ where the children presented work to other year groups in a special assembly. Thank you for your generous donations which will be gratefully received by Homeless Care at Maidstone Day Centre.
The children enjoy a full and varied art experience here at South Borough, so we thought it would be lovely to share a few tips to continue their learning at home! Today’s ‘Love Art Tip Fix’ is relief sculpture, from the Latin word ‘Relevo’, which means to raise.
Welcome to South Borough Primary School Website. South Borough Primary School in Maidstone is continuing to increase to a two-form entry. In the academic year 2018/2019 we will have two reception classes, three Year 1 classes (bulge class), three Year 2 classes (bulge class taken this year to support the local authority), two Year 3 classes and one class in year 4, 5 and 6. It became part of the Swale Academies Trust on 1st February 2015.

We offer a wide range of opportunities at our school. The dedicated team here collaborate with other Trust schools, to ensure standards are very high in all areas including academic, moral, social, cultural and spiritual.
Our aim is to be the best we can be through consistency, perseverance and dedication.
We celebrate a GOOD Ofsted January 2018.
