Welcome

At South Borough Primary School we believe every child matters and they are at the heart of all we do. We aim to ensure they can read, write and calculate effectively when they leave us. Together with that we aim to instil a sense of pride, tolerance, determination and perseverance to help them in all aspects of life. Good behaviour for learning is key for children to make good progress.

The aim of the South Borough Primary School core values is to ensure all children understand what is expected of them, inside and outside of school and to give them a visual reminder of what they can do to make South Borough Primary School a happy, safe and positive place to learn.  The core values allow children to develop skills to ‘learn how to learn things they do not yet know’.

About Us

South Borough Primary School in Maidstone is currently a 1 form entry school in year 3, 4, 5 and 6. It became part of the Swale Academies Trust on 1st February 2015. In September 2015 the school began its journey to become a 2 form entry by taking 60 Reception children. Currently we have 3 reception classes, 2 Year 1 and 2 classes. Building work have been completed to accommodate the process of going up to a full two form entry school.  In the summer of 2017 the school had improvements and work done to the playground and opened another access point to enter the school via Postley road.

Together with that we aim to instil a sense of pride, tolerance, determination and perseverance to help them in all aspects of life. Good behaviour for learning is key for children to make good progress. South Borough Primary School is an inclusive school, nurturing the differences our families bring.

We offer a wide range of opportunities at our school.  The dedicated team here collaborate with other Trust schools, to ensure standards are very high in all areas including academic, moral, social, cultural and spiritual.

Our aim is to lead the school to ‘Outstanding’ through consistency and dedication.
