At South Borough Primary School we believe every child matters and they are at the heart of all we do. We aim to ensure they can read, write and calculate effectively when they leave us. Together with that we aim to instil a sense of pride, tolerance, determination and perseverance to help them in all aspects of life. Good behaviour for learning is key for children to make good progress.
The aim of the South Borough Primary School core values is to ensure all children understand what is expected of them, inside and outside of school and to give them a visual reminder of what they can do to make South Borough Primary School a happy, safe and positive place to learn. The core values allow children to develop skills to ‘learn how to learn things they do not yet know’.
Trust schools have not made any decisions as of yet as to a precise date for reopening for Nursery provision, Year R, Year 1 and Year 6. The government is set to make a decision on whether any primary school should reopen from June 1st on May 28th.
The Trust will risk assess each individual Trust primary school's readiness to open based upon a thorough risk assessment process which protects both pupils and staff. When the Trust is satisfied that it is safe to do so arrangements to open individual Trust schools will be made and this will be communicated to parents promptly.
It is unlikely that Trust primary schools will be reopening on or during the week commencing June 1st. The most likely earliest date for reopening is June 8th, however this will depend upon the risk assessment at the time. We will write to you on May 29th explaining in more detail our planning and our arrangements to keep both pupils and staff safe.
Our latest weekly bulletin.
We are currently planning what a return to school might look like for particular year groups from the 1st June.
We need to know if you would consider sending your children back to school following current government guidance.
