At South Borough Primary School we believe every child matters and they are at the heart of all we do. We aim to ensure they can read, write and calculate effectively when they leave us. Together with that we aim to instil a sense of pride, tolerance, determination and perseverance to help them in all aspects of life. Good behaviour for learning is key for children to make good progress.
The aim of the South Borough Primary School core values is to ensure all children understand what is expected of them, inside and outside of school and to give them a visual reminder of what they can do to make South Borough Primary School a happy, safe and positive place to learn. The core values allow children to develop skills to ‘learn how to learn things they do not yet know’.
StarBurst's podcast episode three ‘Off to school’ is available to listen to now. Our three time travellers find themselves attending an evacuee's make-shift school in 1939. Will they manage to get Granny Crabtree's time transporter working again?
Last Thursday, Year 4 visited Maidstone Museum to find out more about the different industries of Maidstone. The children really enjoyed themselves and were beautifully behaved. We're looking forward to our trip to the Town Hall.
Friday 5th July 2019 will be a staff development day and the school and nursery will be closed for children. They will return on Monday 8th July at normal time. Thank you.
At the end of this academic year we will sadly be saying goodbye to a number of staff who have secured new teaching positions closer to home and also welcoming a number of new staff to our team. Please find a letter explaining the staffing changes for the next academic year here.
A staffing list, showing an overview from September 2019, can be viewed online here.
